Relax, Rejuvenate, and Revitalize with Vitality Massage

Massage has been a passion of mine since I was very young and I absolutely love sharing that with others!

Before booking a massage it is helpful to understand what each modality offered entails and better understand how each can heal your body differently and be the best option for you and your situation.

This modality is generally what you picture when the word massage is used. Swedish massage involves light, gentle strokes, rubbing, kneading and occasional assisted joint movement/ stretches. This modality is ideal if relaxation and stress relief is what you want. It is done with lotion/ oil on a massage table. ( 60/90 min.)

Swedish Massage

When explaining this modality to my clients, I tell them it's like the marriage of yoga and massage. Thai Massage is performed on the floor on a mat, fully clothed and the client is assisted in different stretches while also receiving compression following the ‘sen lines’ throughout the body. The practitioner will use their entire body including elbows, knees and feet to walk, crawl and stretch the body and create deep pressure compression. (90 min.)

Thai Massage

This modality is a very light and non-invasive approach for pain, stress and tension relief. During the session the practitioner will place their hands on points on the abdomen, upper and lower back, neck and head. It is given using extremely light touch and gravity to allow the muscles to react and release when the tension is released, adjusting the joints of the skull, sacrum and spine. (45-60 min.)

Craniosacral

This modality is very light and non-invasive and works with the body's energy flow known by traditional Japanese medicine as Qi. It is performed utilizing the hands, thumbs and other body parts to follow ‘meridian channels’ or energy pathways of the body using kneading, pressing, tapping and stretching techniques to reduce tension and replenish energy in the body.

Shiatsu

This modality mainly focuses on the facial chains and the skeleton to realign the body. It’s similar to chiropractic in that it realigns the skeleton, but instead of adjusting the bones, KCR adjusts the fascia attached to the bones. Like a piece of fabric, when a corner or a side is pulled it compensates by stretching and pulling the opposed side. This misaligned fascia then pulls the bones attached, resulting in an unaligned skeleton. This can cause joint pain throughout the body, pinched nerves, neck pain, TMJ, headaches,  leg length difference and more. Three sessions is recommended to accomplish this alignment, however everyone's bodies are different and results may vary.
